DESCRIPTION & BACKGROUND

Carmen Alicea is one of those people who probably would’ve gone onto great artistic or engineering fame. As it is however, she’s got quite a knack for taking things that wouldn’t ordinarily be too good at killing people and gone and made them pretty good for killing people. While not the only person who can craft a good pneumo weapon, she is perhaps the person most knowledgeable on the subject and can make a pneumo rifle that can split a monobrow from over a hundred feet.


She picked up her skills through tinkering with leftover tools in garages and auto-parts stores. Before her 16th birthday, she was making pneumo rifles that could punch a hole into cinderblocks and at 20, she successfully made a spear-gun that could punch clean through the engine block of a speeding Runner.
Carmen, unlike a lot of other people in her field, doesn’t take particular pride in the fact that her devices are used for killing people. She sees her occupation as a necessary evil, her pneumo weapons are often the only thing keeping ordinary folk from being run down by bandits or being bullied by Crawley’s men. Of course, this doesn’t stop her from gunning down anyone who tries to steal her work. After all, in this dog-eat-dog world, you can’t really afford to have your stuff stolen by every Tom, Dick and Harry who happens to want a rotary-barrel BB-gun or armor-piercing spear-gun.
